The artist feeds and observes the birds in her backyard. The birds’ lives are the inspiration for these works. 

She observes the bird’s body language; she has translated this into sculptural forms. Her painting is intuitive resulting in layers of color and texture. The glitter’s properties are used in a playful, seductive and whimsical manner to stimulate the viewer‘s eye.

The pieces are made by first making a clay positive. This is cast with plaster into a negative form. The final piece is molded using nylon and urethane. This is painted with pigments and mixed media using acrylic urethane as a binder.
